Who is Jo Bird?
Jo Bird is a PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER, BRAND BUILDER AND CREATIVE BASED IN BIRMINGHAM, UK.
As the granddaughter of a magician, Jo grew up surrounded by people who believed creativity and storytelling could change the way we see and experience the world.
But when she entered corporate life, she saw something different. Creativity was requested, but rarely understood, respected or properly developed.
She watched great ideas get diluted, talented creatives lose confidence and brands become bland in favour of ROI, KPIs and optimisation culture.
In 2019, Jo joined the creative team at British challenger brand Gymshark. There, she witnessed the opposite. A business that backed its ideas, explored its identity and built culture around belief. The result was global scale, not because of the odds, but despite them.
That experience helped Jo realise creativity and business are not enemies. When they work together, one supports the other and great ideas travel further.
She put that theory to the test by building her personal brand to 100,000 followers, becoming an industry Top Voice and independent creative working with global brands including KIKO Cosmetics, Vodafone and HP.
Today, Jo works with challenger brands and ambitious professionals to develop the stories, strategies and confidence required to lead with ideas, not data.
Her philosophy is simple: Tell better stories. Build better brands.
